A campaign message from the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) |

Up until a few years ago, for many small businesses, energy was something left for a wet Wednesday afternoon, when you catch up with some of your paperwork. Price rises have changed that. Now energy has moved up the list of priorities – getting the best deal is vital, but just as important is to avoid the problems.
These problems, which if left unchecked can even lead to the very existence of a business being threatened, can often be avoided simply be arming yourself with the basic information you need. That is what this website is for.
Learning the basics won’t take long, and it’s worth it. Making sure your bills reflect what you’ve used, making sure you don’t get taken for a ride by a salesman far keener to get you to sign on the dotted line than to make sure you sign with the supplier that’s right for you, making sure you know the details of your energy contract – these are some of the things that you need to do.
We joined with energywatch to get a better deal for small businesses in the energy market. Together, you spend more than £3 billion every year on gas and electricity. We believe that entitles you and your concerns to be heard.
