Find out if you can cancel the contract if the supplier is not doing what it promised (for instance if bills are late or inaccurate). Contracts will often deal with this under the heading termination or cancellation.

Put simply, the more rights you have, the better. Make sure you are aware of them and use them when you want to. In most cases, suppliers’ rights to get out of a contract will be greater than yours. If you have some power to negotiate terms, try to make sure that these rights are also available to you. It will help you to make sure you get a better service if the supplier thinks that you can go somewhere else if they are not performing.
